Sefer Jetsira, or Book of Creation

Sefer yetsira (Finnish: "Book of Creation") is the earliest and most significant work of Jewish mystical literature that has survived in its entirety. It is a collection of poems and a bewildering labyrinth of magical utterances that offer countless interpretation possibilities. Medieval Kabbalists in their commentaries considered the work an essential part of mystical Jewish lore.
Over the years, the work's description of the creation and essence of the universe has inspired not only Jewish scholars but also researchers, artists and people interested in mysticism outside of Judaism.
Sefer jetsira is being published in Finnish for the first time directly translated from the original language. The work has been translated into Finnish and provided with a foreword by Riikka Tuori.
