Dispute resolution cards - Slow down Life
Dispute resolution cards
Arranging a dispute may seem insurmountably difficult. How to stop a constant argument with a friend or spouse? Or how to settle a dispute with your mother, spouse, own child or other close person?
At its best, a dispute can be a gift that strengthens the human relationship even more. Dispute resolution cards can be helpful when you want to repair broken spaces.
The aim of the dispute resolution cards is to help you resolve a dispute amicably. At the same time, the cards strengthen you with your feelings and experiences. They help to broaden your perspective and find practical solutions even in challenging situations.
These cards help you who…
…you want to settle a dispute in which you yourself are a party
…you help someone settle a dispute in which they are involved
...you repeatedly listen to a friend or colleague's analysis of the dispute
...you want to see or help see things from different perspectives - more than the one that at first seems like the only possible one
...you are looking for effective practical solutions to disputes
...you are interested in understanding yourself, your own experience and your own feelings
…you want to calm down and make peace with yourself – and possibly also with the other party to the dispute
…you want to let go of the unpleasant feelings that the argument has caused.
You can also use dispute resolution cards in the following environments:
1) Cards are suitable for the workplace when...
...you notice "floating in the air" or direct conflicts in the workplace that should be resolved.
...as a supervisor, team leader or HR person, you are responsible for the collective spirit.
...you want a more constructive discussion about communication and emotional atmosphere.
...at work you encounter difficult customers or partners.
2) Cards are suitable for schools and hobby activities when...
...as a group leader (e.g. teacher or coach) you want to teach children/youths/adults how to resolve disputes so that both parties to the dispute participate in resolving the situation.
...you want to teach constructive discussion and communication of your own feelings and states of will.
…you notice a non-verbal, verbal or physical weakness that is difficult to deal with in a constructive way.
3) For therapy and educational use, the cards are suitable for example:
– for mediation work: e.g. couple therapy, family mediation situations, work community mediation
– To educate communities
– For individual therapy: The cards can also be used without the presence and participation of the other party to the dispute.
Card usage instructions:
Take a quiet moment for yourself. Try to listen to yourself as openly and honestly as possible. You can focus on one card at a time or go through the questions of several cards.
The cards are divided into three groups by color:
Green = OWN EXPERIENCE
Red = ANGLES OF VIEW
Blue = GOOD SOLUTIONS
It is good that you go through the questions about all the colors. If a question seems difficult, you can skip it, but also try to challenge yourself.
The cards have the FSC® label
