### Crystal Ball - Iconic symbol of divination

The crystal ball is mentioned in the Book of Revelation and is used in the story of King Arthur, who sought advice and prophecies from the magician Merlin through this crystal ball. In the Middle Ages, soothsayers, or skryers, highly prized their crystal balls, often passing them down to their apprentices as heirlooms. The crystal ball has been a tool for connecting and communicating with the divine. Crystals have historically been used in communication, such as in modern times in radio equipment, telephones and computers.
