Rosemary cineole essential oil BIO organic 10 ml - Propos'Nature
100% pure and natural essential oil obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops of Rosmarinus officinalis L.
Like camphor rosemary, which grows in Mediterranean terrain and bushes, cineole rosemary is one of the 'herbs of Provence'. Included in Vespasian's list of aromatic plants, it is known for its delicious flavor in dishes. Cultivated in France, it is also produced in the Mediterranean environment, where it grows easily (Morocco, Italy, Spain). Its purplish-purple flowers bloom from January to May. Rosemary has several chemotypes depending on where it is grown. Cineole rosemary contains half as much camphor as camphor rosemary. These different chemotypes have different properties and should not be confused. Highly symbolic in Italy, rosemary has been cultivated for three millennia in the region between the Tigris and the Euphrates for its many virtues.
Cineole, also known as eucalyptol, is a natural organic compound found in many essential oils. It has a fresh, mint-like scent and is known for its many beneficial properties.
Cineole is found especially in eucalyptus, rosemary, bay leaf and tea tree oils. It is widely used in aromatherapy and naturopathy for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties. In addition, cineole is used in cough medicines and other respiratory care products due to its ability to ease breathing and calm coughs.
Cineol is also a common ingredient in many cleaning and disinfecting agents and cosmetics, due to its pleasant fragrance and antimicrobial properties.
