Tingshas are used in spiritual practice and meditation as musical accompaniments to maintain concentration. They are also used in Feng Shui, meditation, cleansing, healing and balancing. Their mission is to invite and raise awareness and help find priorities in this often turbulent and unreal world. The use of Tingsho in Feng Shui helps to clean the energy of the room and "open" it. They are also used to heal or balance aura fields, and to define the beginning and end of meditation. Tingsho are recommended to be stored wrapped in cloth or a special two-piece cover when not in use. They are usually made of brass or bronze and may have decorations depicting dragons, mantras or Buddhist symbols, but many are also minimalistic, shining through their beautiful sound.
