Regardless of wealth, in the Middle Ages everyone could afford dice, i.e. lottery cubes. And there were many different kinds of dice games. What is your favorite dice game?
Lottery cubes, or dice, are a popular aid for both games and fortune-telling. A traditional lottery cube is a small, cube-shaped, six-sided object as the name suggests. Divination by dice is called Podomancy. Dice have been thrown on the ground, on natural surfaces, such as stone, animal skin or the membrane of a (witch) drum.
In the medieval shop, you can also find nice little chests for dice to store and carry with you.
