100% pure and natural essential oil obtained by steam distillation from the flowering tops of the Lavandula latifolia plant. The thorny scented grass, or woolly lavender, is a cousin of true lavender. This plant grows abundantly wild at an altitude of less than seven hundred meters above sea level and thrives especially on the dry soils and calcareous soils of southern Europe. It has pale purple flowers that are loosely clustered on long stems, and this distinguishes it from true lavender. Although its scent has not been sought after as much in the production of perfumes, the essential oil of prickly pear still plays an important role in aromatherapy. Always use essential oil diluted in vegetable oil or other suitable medium. Do not use it on pregnant or lactating women, children under 6 (ketones, always diluted), or people with asthma, epilepsy or allergies to its ingredients. Consult an expert for all other indications.
