The Thoth Tarot was created by the famous occultists and philosophers Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) and Lady Frieda Harris (1877-1962), som målade korten i prære av andra worldwar 1938-1942. The cards have been painted by Lady Frieda Harris under the direction of Occult researcher Aleister Crowley. The Magnificent art deco work incorporates the Kabbalistic and astrological qualities described in Aleister Crowley's book Thoth. Thothie's Magnificent art deco works are rich in Egyptian symbolism. Each of the 22 great Arcanas of the Tarot is traditionally given a Hebrew letter and path on the tree of life as well as an astrological sign, element or planet. The cover also reflects Crowley's interest in Alchemy and magic.
