Yooperlite is a rare mineral found mainly in the Yooper Peninsula of Michigan in North America. It is known for its phosphorescent property, i.e. the ability to reflect ultraviolet light back as a green glowing light. Yooperlite is typically greenish and its texture consists of several minerals such as syenite, plagioclase and hornblende.
