Finnish tea herbs are excellent sources of health easily within our reach. They can relieve, for example, problems with the skin, intestines, respiratory tract and menopause, as well as calm or refresh the mind.

The book presents a hundred plants that grow and can be grown in Finland, from which you can make herbal tea. There are wild grasses and shrubs, herbs, trees and garden ornamentals.

Each plant has a picture, a short presentation and an anecdote, its use as a tea and the beneficial effects of the plant. The book also gives advice on how to collect plants and prepare them for tea, what is the suitable collection time for each species and what to watch out for.

Leaves are mostly used from plants, but also flowers, roots and berries. Their effects on health are different, as are their taste and possibilities of use. They are suitable both for use alone and as combined preparations, both hot and cold tea drinks.

Biologist and botanist Sinikka Piippo has written productions aimed at the general public, e.g. Finnish berries, Food for the mind, Vitality from spices, Clean food, Vitality from trees, Wild vegetables, Finnish mosses (together with Timo Kopose) and Herbs of Love.
