Moonchild Tarot is a very modern deck from Danielle Noel (author and designer). Noel makes digital collages mixing modern figures, landscapes from other worlds, galactic aesthetics and Egyptian images.
This is an excellent deck choice for intuitive interpreters. The Moonchild Tarot uses mostly the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot system with a few Thoth elements included. As in the Thoth Tarot, the Justice card is number 8 and The Strength is 11. The Moonchild Tarot develops new symbolism and illustrates traditional tarot imagery. The aesthetics seem to connect the planets, the illustration has many layers, stars, galaxies. The backgrounds also have a spirit-quest-in-the-desert feel. The background scenery is mostly deserts and unusual rock formations that only add to the feeling of alien worlds. The color selection is mainly soft, pastel. The deck is full of sacred geometric shapes.
