Organic Nutmeg Essential Oil 10 ml
This 100% pure and natural essential oil is steam distilled from Myristica fragrans nuts. Nutmeg is an aromatic tree with dark green, evergreen leaves, yellow petalless flowers and yellow-brown fruits. Nutmeg comes from Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Grenada. The tree flowers for the first time after seven years and can live up to a hundred years. At one time, nutmeg was so valued that it was even found in the coffins of some Egyptian mummies, and it was one of the most sought-after spices in the Middle Ages. Nutmeg was also used as part of the famous invigorating drink developed by Hippocrates, the "Wine of Hypocrates".
