Electroculture is a method in which electromagnetic fields and electric currents are used to promote plant growth. The idea is that electric fields can positively affect plant metabolism and growth. This technology can include, for example, electrodes placed on the ground or various electromagnetic treatments.
In Finnish, the term electroculture does not seem to have an established translation, and it may also be mentioned with the English term.
A spiral made of copper and wooden sticks is usually called a "growth spiral". It is one of the tools of electroculture, the purpose of which is to influence the electric field around the plant, which may promote the development of the root system and the overall health of the plants.
