The hiker's former therapist, 17 other lovers of silence, a pile of carefully considered borrowed equipment, and a coffin-shaped tent accompany her on a week-long hiking retreat. The purpose is to meditate in the open air and discover the secrets of nature and human nature. At the end of the book, the hiker reveals her own tips for easing her mind.

Sanna Vaara (born 1974) is a cultural hard worker and passionate truth seeker who lives with one foot in hectic family life and the other in timelessness. She has understood that eternity is too short to waste and life is too interesting to be afraid. Vaara doesn't believe in anything, except for what doesn't disappear. And that the most fun is when it's fun. She loves silence, people, writing rap lyrics, and when others clean up after her.
