This is how you take care of your crystals

Crystals are good and powerful friends to us, we wear jewelry made from them, keep them as decoration at home or use them in energy treatments to balance the chakras. They bring changes, raise the vibration, make you feel better, treat trauma, attract abundance and love. In order for the crystal to work effectively, you need to communicate with it often and remember to clean it regularly. Many crystals absorb negative energy and store it, for example Morion, Smoky Quartz and Black Tourmaline need to be cleaned very often precisely because of this.

There are many ways to cleanse crystals depending on the function of the crystal.

If the crystal is programmed to collect negative energy, the more often it is cleaned, the better, because the crystal's storage is not endless and there may come a moment when the collected energy is discharged. Because of this, e.g. Morion has a bad reputation. But working with it goes well if you just remember to perform the cleaning.

Deep cleaning, which in a way resets the information and energy accumulated in the crystal, takes place when you take the crystal to nature, the forest or the garden. If possible and you have a safe place for them, leave them there overnight. Crystals are cleansed and charged at the same time, this is the best way of all. You can spread them on fabric, and if you want, you can also cover them with fabric. During the winter, it doesn't hurt even if it snows - it also cleans well, just remember to pick them up before the snow covers them too well! However, take into account that not all crystals like or even tolerate moisture, for example, Selenite, Chalcopyrite and Arsenikiite are sensitive to moisture. It is good to clean them in another way.

If it is not possible for you to take the crystals outside to embrace Mother Earth, you can use sand and salt. The sand is mainly quartz and quartz itself is a really good cleaner. You can put sand in a large container, mix in some coarse sea salt and spray some water into the mixture. You should put thin paper or cloth on top of the mixture and place the crystals on it. The cleaning takes place in a few hours, but you can keep the crystals there overnight or even a day. In the same mixture, you can cleanse the crystals many times, this is my favorite way, because I don't always have the opportunity to take the crystals out into the wild. Every time I go to my power place, my pockets are full of crystals, I leave them there for a while to cleanse and recharge.

Here are a few other ways you can easily clean your crystals. These methods are especially suitable when the crystals are in heavy use, e.g. in care, in jewelry that is used daily or if you rarely remember to clean your crystals. :

1. Coarse salt. Salt also cleans crystals well. Here you just have to take into account that not all crystals like salt and salt can also damage the surface of the crystals. I personally do this cleansing by taking a container, pouring some salt into it, putting the crystals in a cloth bag and placing it in the container, then pouring the salt into the bag so that it covers the entire bag. You can also spray a little water on the salt, because wet salt cleans better than dry salt.

1. Running water. Running water cleans the crystals very well and it is best if the water is from a spring, stream or lake. However, the important thing here is that the water is flowing, mobile. Tap water is fine for lack of better. Cleaning is not possible in stagnant water.

There are also lighter ways to clean:

1. Incense. Smoke is a good cleanser. Cleansing with incense is done by holding the crystal incense in the smoke for a short while.

1. Sound. Cleaning with a sound bowl, tingsha or bell is also an effective way. The vibration of the sound removes the collected energies and recharges the forces.

Regular cleaning is important. The crystal can even crack if too much negative energy is packed into it. If that happens, it's not worth putting the parts together anymore. Large parts can be cleaned and reused, but small parts can be taken to the forest and returned to Mother Earth. Don't forget to thank the crystal for its help.

The next step after cleansing - charging the crystals with new power. Charging is when you give the crystal a task, it is an intention and it vibrates at a certain frequency that you program into the crystal. Currently, the crystals are being recharged in nature. If you have your own place of power, by all means take the crystals there. There they are cleaned and recharged at the same time. Crystals gather strength by themselves, of course you can help them by keeping them in the sun for a while, but you have to be careful because many crystals can't stand being in the sun for a long time, the colors may fade. In the energy of the moon, the crystals charge well, you can leave them overnight on the windowsill or on the balcony, if possible, you can also take them outside to the yard to enjoy the moonlight.

Whenever you buy a crystal from a store, it must be cleaned. It would be good to let it clean for a day, it is good to keep in mind that before it got to you, the crystal has been in many places, been in many hands and collected all kinds of energy. It is also good to know that if when buying crystals you are told that the crystals are already loaded, it is practically the same as if you bought a new phone with someone else's account created. Such a crystal will not work properly, because it already contains someone else's energy and programming, and not you who is going to use it, so you have to do the cleaning and charging anyway. And when you order crystals online, the package goes through the mail and is handled by many people before it reaches you, so you still need to clean it well before use. Pre-cleaning and charging is useless work, the best situation of all is that you learn how to clean and charge your own crystals. Crystals are not necessarily charged with energy but with intention or will. It is a kind of programming and it is best that you do it yourself so that your crystals work in the best way for you and your energy field.
