Like camphor rosemary, which grows in Mediterranean terrain and bushes, cineole rosemary is one of the 'herbs of Provence'. Cultivated in France, it is also produced in the Mediterranean environment, where it grows easily (Morocco, Italy, Spain). Its purplish-purple flowers bloom from January to May. Rosemary has several chemotypes depending on where it is grown. Cineole rosemary contains half as much camphor as camphor rosemary. These different chemotypes have different properties and should not be confused.
