A LITTLE HISTORY
A precious, rare and effective natural anti-wrinkle oil, Prickly Pear Oil (not to be confused with Prickly Pear Macerate, which is much less concentrated in active ingredients) is a rare and precious vegetable oil. Also called the "Hindi fig", the prickly pear cactus is native to Latin America, but also grows throughout the Mediterranean region. This fruit cactus produces very juicy and fragrant figs with incredible cosmetic properties. Berber women have used it for centuries to protect their skin from the sun and wind, and it proves to be an excellent vegetable oil for mature, dry and damaged skin. Its rarity and price can be explained by the fact that about 1 ton of fruit yields 1 liter of oil. It is all the more valuable because it is difficult to harvest: these cacti grow in semi-arid areas, very densely, which makes picking the fruit very laborious if you want to avoid the thorns. The seeds are then separated from the pulp to be dried and finally pressed into prickly pear oil.
