Now that all of Egypt's great gods, and especially the most ancient ones, have Finnish names or at least such names that can be explained exclusively with the help of the Finnish language, it would certainly be strange if the Egyptian metaphors of nature did not also appear in the Finnish tales of the Kalevala.

Were the ancient Egyptians Finns? Does pyramid come from the words holy frames? Are Lemminkäinen and Osiris the same person?

Kalevala and Egypti, published in 1935, is a survey of the similarities found in the language and ancient culture of Egypt and Finland. In addition to famous word derivations, the book finds plenty of commonalities in the mythology, magic and medical skills of peoples.

Table of contents of the book:

II. Culture and the origin of culture
III . Comparison of Finnish and Egyptian words and signs
IV. Ancient Egyptian echoes in the Kalevala
